Matthew 25:31-46
From Carlos,
Friend of Christ
At Rejoice Threads, our mission is deeply rooted in the teachings of Matthew 25:31-46, where Jesus calls upon us to serve and care for those in need. This scripture emphasizes the importance of compassion and action, highlighting that our faith is reflected in how we treat the most vulnerable among us. Driven by our obedience to God's call to serve and care for others, we are dedicated to translating this spiritual mandate into practical, impactful actions. Supporting organizations and initiatives that work on the front lines of poverty, homelessness, and social injustice, we strive to make a meaningful difference. Each action we take, each dollar we contribute, is a step towards fulfilling our vision of a world where every person is valued and supported, reflecting the love and care that Jesus calls us to embody.
For every profitable dollar generated, we dedicate 10% to City Team, an organization tirelessly working to restore lives and rebuild communities. In a world where more people are living in extreme poverty and homelessness, and hunger is widespread—especially in urban centers—City Team steps in to meet the immediate needs of our struggling neighbors, providing food, shelter, and essential services. Beyond this, City Team offers pathways towards lasting change, addressing the brutal cycle of addiction, housing insecurity, and loneliness that many face.
In addition, another 10% of our proceeds are directed towards supporting foster families through Foster the City. Foster the City began in 2015 to address the shortage of foster homes in the San Francisco Bay Area by partnering with over 250 churches and mobilizing nearly 2,000 households to serve as Foster Parents, Support Friends, and Advocates. Their vision is to see churches across the country become communities where abused and neglected children are cared for as beloved sons and daughters. Foster the City equips churches with the tools and resources needed to build sustainable foster care ministries, with the goal of replacing waiting lists of children with families eager to provide loving homes.
Recognizing the importance of addressing homelessness and housing instability in our local community, we also contribute 10% of our earnings to HomeFirst™. HomeFirst is a leading provider of services, shelter, and housing opportunities for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the Bay Area of California. They serve more than 5,000 adults, Veterans, families, and youth each year through a continuum of care that includes prevention, outreach, shelter, and interim and permanent housing programs. With over 40 years of experience, HomeFirst is relentlessly focused on eliminating barriers to housing and creating stability for everyone they serve.
Lastly, 10% of our earnings are dedicated to tithing at a local church. We firmly believe in contributing to the expansion of God's kingdom on earth through active participation in our faith community.
By aligning our business practices with these principles of service and compassion, we strive to fulfill our mission of making a positive impact in the world while honoring our faith and values.
The Lord be with you all.
